Day 1. Prague
Arrival in Prague. Transfer to hotel and check in. Lunch
in the old town. Guided tour of Prague, including Mala
Strana, the famous Charles Bridge, Jewish quarter Josefov,
the old town square and Wenceslas Square. Dinner.
Day 2. Prague
Visit the Loreta Church and its treasures. Discovering
the castle complex of Hradcany with Prague castle,
St Vitus' Cathedral and Golden Lane. Lunch. Continuation.
The rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at hotel.
Day 3. Prague - Kraków (540 km)
Morning departure for Kraków. Lunch en route. Arrival in
Kraków in the evening. Dinner at hotel.
Day 4. Kraków
Sightseeing tour of the Old Town including the
St Mary's church with its majestic gothic, wooden altar
carved by Veit Stoss and the medieval cloth halls at the very
centre of the city. Then a visit to the Wawel Hill with
Castle and Royal Cathedral. Lunch. Guided tour of the
Collegium Maius, the oldest building of the Jagiellonnian
University, housing among others original astronomical devices
used by Nicolaus Copernicus. Free time for shopping. Dinner.
Day 5. Kraków - Wieliczka - Bardejov (190 km)
Drive to the nearby salt mine in Wieliczka with the
underground world of chambers, corridors, chapels and statues
carved in salt by generations of miners - unique tourist attraction
in the world, placed on the Unesco Heritage list. Continue
to Bardejov. Lunch en route. Crossing the border with Slovakia.
Stop at Bardevoskie Kupele, the famous SPA resort with
mineral water springs. Stroll through the town and tasting
local mineral waters. Arrival in Bardejov. Check in at hotel
and dinner.
Day 6. Bardejov - Levoca (100 km)
Guided tour of the town. Bardajev is regarded as the most
beautiful and picturesque medieval town of Slovakia, since
2002 on the list of UNESCO Heritage List. The historic centre
is surrounded by the original fortification system with walls,
gates and bastions. Walk through the town square dominated
by the City Hall and the St. Egidius Church with the famous
gothic altars. Visit the Bardejov museum. Continuation
to the Spisska Kapitula, a medieval settlement, surrounded
by the massive walls, once inhabited only by priests and their
servants. Visit the St Martin Cathedral, one of the
oldest gothic buildings in Slovakia. Next enormous Spisski
Hrad, the greatest castle in Central Europe. Guided
visit of the castle. Arrival in Levoca. Walk through the
medieval town square. Visit the gothic St James
Cathedral with the tallest alter in the world (8m). Dinner
at hotel.
Day 7. Levoca - Prague (570 km)
A morning departure for Prague. Lunch en route. Arrival
in Prague in the evening for dinner.
Day 8. Prague
Transfer to the airport and flight home.
