Day
1. Kraków
Arrival in Kraków. Check in. Stroll in the old town and welcome
dinner.
Day 2. Kraków
Sightseeing tour of the Old Town including The
Royal Way which runs from the Barbican (Medieval defensive
fortification) along Florianska Street to the Market Square.
Visit the St Mary's church with its majestic gothic,
wooden altar carved by Veit Stoss and the medieval cloth halls
at the very centre of the city. Then tour of the Wawel
Hill with the castle and Royal Cathedral . Lunch. Guided
tour of the Collegium Maius, the oldest building of
the Jagiellonnian University, housing among others original
astronomical devices used by Nicolaus Copernicus. Dinner &
overnight in Kraków.
Day 3. Kraków - Wieliczka - Krynica (140 km)
Drive to the nearby salt mine in Wieliczka with the
underground world of chambers, corridors, chapels and statues
carved in salt by generations of miners - unique tourist attraction
in the world placed on the Unesco Heritage list. Lunch en
route. Arrival in Krynica, the most famous mountains SPA
resort in Southern Poland with mineral water springs.
Accommodation at the SPA house with possibility of undergoing
some wellness treatments. Walk through the town market square
and trying out mineral waters. Dinner.
Day 4. Krynica - Bardejov (40 km)
Depature for Bardejov. Crossing the border with Slovakia.
Arrival in Bardejov and check in at hotel. Lunch. Sightseeing
tour of the town. Bardajev is regarded as the most beautiful
and picturesque medieval town of Slovakia. The historic centre
is surrounded by the original fortification system with walls,
gates and bastions. The town square is dominated by a City
Hall and the St.Egidius Church with the famous gothic altars.
All the buildings surrounding the market square have preserved
their original medieval, charming beauty. Visit the town museum.
Bardejov is since 2002 on the list of UNESCO Heritage List.
Dinner at hotel and overnight.
Day 5. Bardejov - Levoca (120 km)
A morning departure for Levoca, a capital of the Spis region.
En route, visit the Spisska Kapitula, a medieval settlement,
surrounded by the massive walls, once inhabited only by priests
and their servants. Visit the St Martin Cathedral,
one of the oldest gothic buildings in Slovakia. Then a short
walk rewarded with the beautiful panorama of the enormous,
fabulous ruins of Spisski Hrad castle. Guided visit
of the castle. Arrival in Levoca. Check in at hotel and lunch.
Guided tour of the medieval town square. Visit the
gothic St James Cathedral with the tallest alter in
the world (18m). The alter was carved by the most outstanding
medieval sculptor Master Paul of Levoca. Dinner at
hotel.
Day 6. Levoca - "Slovensski Raj" - Kraków (200 km)
A day of relax. Drive to "Slovensski Raj" (Slovac
Paradise). Visit the Ice Cave (lodowa jaskinia)
with fascinating ice formations. Lunch. Wandering through
the picturesque landscape of the National Park. The smooth
hills in the forest and romantic waterfalls make this place
a real paradise for tourists. In the afternoon transfer to
Krakow for dinner & overnight.
